The Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II were originally released in Japan in 1987 and 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and to the great delight of the users the games are all set to make a comeback. The games will be available to the new generation on the iPhone and iPod touch which would include an optimized control system and also would have changes from the original release. Gameloft has released the successful Playstation game from 1999, Driver for your iPhone and iPod Touch. Driver is an impressive game. The Virtual versions of the four cities of Miami, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles are so vast that you have to be lucky to go down the same street twice as it can take ages to do so. The game also has a realistic feel to it; thanks to the traffic, pedestrians, police patrol and working traffic lights.

You can easily term the Word Ace as the brain child of Scrabble and Texas hold ‘em. In this game, four players sit around a table just like the way you find in a game of cards. The only difference being that instead of cards there are letters tiles that the player has to deal with. The players have to make as high scoring a word as possible in the Scrabble part of the game, whereas the Texas hold‘em has the players stake chips on the ability to bluff.

ice-road-truckers The popular Ice Road Trucker show which is already a hit on History has found its way as an application into the iPhone and iPod touch devices. It has been used as a promotional means for the actual series.

The game is about a huge 18 wheeler truck which the users have to control and has the task of reaching the finishing line along with the load before the time runs out. In the paid version, the gamers have far more options which include variety of trucks, different routes and loads and make sure that they are not thrown off the road. They have to cross all the hurdles in their way and reach the finish line in time. The gamers are rewarded with extra money when they reach their destination before the finishing time. However, they are also penalized when they exceed the time limit by not being able to reach the next level.

The actual show of the Ice Road Truckers is broadcasted all over the world on History and is coming up with the new season which would be based in the fascinating region of Alaska. In the brand new season the Ice Road legends Hugh ‘Polar Bear’ Rowland and Alex Debogorski are making a comeback and they will be joined by the ice road rookie Carlile Transportation George Spears. The series would also feature Lisa Kelly who is the permanent driver in the series.

The application priced at $3.99 has been launched on June 28, 2009. The ‘Lite’ version is available globally in Apple stores for free.
