Have you heard about the latest news in the iPod world? Well, Siri hacked on iPod Touch and it is not fully working. The problem arising is that there is difficulty in communicating with the Apple Servers.

Yes, it’s true that hackers who are trying too hard to get the Siri system interface to work on non-iPhone 4S devices have now realized that they have got some sort of success. These hackers are getting success with all members of the current iOS family because the enterprising pair have grafted Siri on a current generation iPod Touch.

A lot of confusion has come up over the Siri technology on the iPhone 4S and its former app, Siri Assistant, which is now defunct. It was available on the earlier versions of the iPhone but it was removed due to failure. Some tests with a modified Siri on the iPhone4 and on iPad 2 devices reveal that without even been connected to the network servers, the program runs slower that it actually does on the iPhone 4S. So, Apple is these days concerned about the quality of the experience on the non 4S devices.

Rumor is that the new device is more likely to be a big iPod Touch rather than a small iPad. A report published in a Czech Republic publication quotes two different sources stating that Apple is planning a 6-inch device and might soon unveil it in the market.

However, it is to be noted that, earlier this month, another publication had reported that Apple is still developing a device like its previous prototype, the 7-inch iPad. Though, if we see past records, Apple doesn’t normally like to fragment its new product lines with multiple form factors. So the news of a small iPad seems quite doubtful.

Despite this, Apple does update that a larger iPod Touch would to good for gaming. However, just like the current Touch, Apple might make the iPad 2 Wi-Fi only.

Though the news is not confirmed yet, however, users and fans of Apple would definitely wait to know more about the update soon.

This case is expected to be launched in the USA later this year. Called the Apple Peel 520, it is by now available in China. According to a report in TechRadar this case uses a wire less skin which has a 4.5 hr battery, SIM card, circuit board and dock connector.

Currently available for pre-order at Peel520.net, Go Solar USA has also indicated that it will make a UK launch soon. These cases are priced about $119 each. User will have to jailbreak the iPod Touch before the conversion. However, there is no news on whether Apple will take any legal action to stop the launch of these cases.

Experts are of the opinion that the technology used in Apple Peel is not a very complicated one and has been copied from other manufacturers. However, the foreign media has said that Apple had filed an application for a patent in the US for the primary functions of Apple Peel520 earlier and they have made it public.

The patent document clearly suggests that the case, an accessory transceiver, can convert an iPod Touch device to an iPhone via a physical connection or a wirelessly. So, this should dismiss any claims of patent issues and other copyright problems. In any case, this technology will offer the users flexibility and provide them with a choice of converting their iPod Touch to iPhone.

Jailbreaking is an integral part in Apple products and choosing the right application to do it becomes highly important. There is some good news for those who have always wondered what to use and if someone has a liking for redsn0w over PwnageTool it is even better.

Here comes a complete guide to help you solve all your problems related to jailbreaking. This guide will assist you in jailbreaking the iPod Touch (2G) and iPhone(3G) with iOS 4.1 by using the redsn0w 0.9.6 beta. This guide however is available for only those who use MAC as there is still some more work that needs to be done for the Windows version. I guess for all the PC users, the wait is going to be a little longer.

In order to jailbreak using redsn0w you need to first connect your iPhone or iPod touch to MAC using a USB cable. Then run the Redsn0w and press browse. After this, select iOS 4.1 or Firmware 4.0 available on the desktop and continue by clicking next.

This will provide you with a new screen and you can choose the package you want to install. You should select Cydia and you should also ensure that multitasking is enabled. Once you select the package you will need to put the device in DFU mode. Do it and then press the power and home button for 10 seconds and let it go. This will start the jailbreak run. After it is done the Cydia restarts and you are ready to jailbreak.
