Transferring music from your iPod to iTunes has always been a constant challenge. So, here are some simple tips to transfer music to iTunes from iPod. There are just three things that you will need- an iPod, a computer and iTunes. Once you are set with these three items you need to follow these simple instructions-
1. Connect the iPod through a white USB cable to the computer. You might get a prompt asking you if you want to sync the iPod, click on NO.
2. Once connected, go to My Computer and find the iPod drive, it is normally in the F drive. It is very easy to identify as you will see an iPod logo in the list.
3. If you have a Windows Vista, go to the iPod drive and open it, then click the ORGANIZE button. Then go to folder and then search option. This needs to be followed by view, show hidden files and folders.
4. You will now see new folder-iPod control. Open it and you will see these: Contacts, calendar, notes, photos, iPod control etc. If you want to save all the music then you just need to be concerned about the iPod control folder.
5. Now, open the control folder and then the music folder. Then copy these folders and save it on your desktop in a new folder.
6. Go into iTunes and put the new folder into library and then music.
7. Now you can sync the devices without losing out on the music.
